Aysgarth Cemetery

I am the clerk to Aysgarth Cemetery. This was created by three parish councils: Aysgarth and District,  Burton cum Walden and Carperby cum Thoresby to serve these local communities as the graveyard at Aysgarth church was almost full.

It is owned by those three parish councils but managed by Aysgarth Cemetery Joint Management Committee. It is located north of the church and accessed via the footpath at the east end of the church. There is a garden of rest at the west end of the cemetery.

Many like to visit just to look over the wall at the River Ure or to sit on one of the  two benches and enjoy the tranquility of such a special place.

All the local undertakers know how to contact me.

Or you can leave a comment on this post and I will contact you.
