Jemima’s Story
In October 2010 Dan Bausum posted a comment about his daughter, Joy, who died in Malaysia in August. He and his wife went from the USA to Kuala Lumpur a month later to attend the renaming ceremony of the school where she was teaching refugee children. It is now called the Joy Bausum School. Just Google “Joy Bausum” to learn more about her. I first came into contact with Dan some years ago when researching the life of Joy’s great, great, great grandmother, Jemima. In a memorial to Joy I have started posting “Jemima’s story” on this website. For now I will only give brief details of sources – but hopefully this will become an E-book with full references. All my stories are copyright.

My brother, Dan Bausum, told me about your articles about Jemima. I have read them all today and can hardly wait for the next installment. You are an excellent writer, and the story is fascinating. Thank you for sharing it with me. Kathy Perry
